How to resolve windows update error code 80070003

Windows update error code 80070003 commonly occurs when upgrading to Windows 10 and the process does not perform properly. I'll show you how to resolve this error.


Step 1: Stop Windows Update Service:

Simultaneously press the keys " Windows" and "R", so that the "Run box" command will open.
Enter "services.msc" and press "OK". Then you can see all Windows services.
Scroll down and look at the list of services for the entry " Windows Update".
Click on the entry with the right mouse button and select "Stop".
Leave the window open and follow the instructions in the next paragraph.


Step 2: Fix Windows Update Error 80070003:

Simultaneously press the keys "Windows" and "E", so that it opens the Explorer.
Now navigate to the path "c: \ windows \ Software \ Datastore" and delete the entire contents.
Then head also on this path and delete there all existing files and folders: "C: \ Windows \ SoftwareDistribution \ Download".
Now switch back to the services and choose instead of "Exit" the "Start" option.
Open Windows Update again and now try to upgrade to Windows 10.
