4 Ways to Fix Error Code windowsupdate_80244019

The Error Code Windowsupdate_80244019 windowsupdate_dt000 is caused by a service that is responsible for transferring of files between your system and windows server and its called BITS (Background Intelligent transfer Service). This Error can be fixed in two ways either reset BITS or Clear Dns cache but in some PCs users have reported that it was resolved by activating Data Execution Protection. One of these methods will surely resolve this issue.


1: Resolve Code 80244019 by Resetting Windows Update Component:

1. Download and Run Windows Update Troubleshooter
2. Follow this Procedure to reset Components.
Note: Please Skip Step 4 mentioned in Reset Procedure.


2: Restart BITS to Fix windowsupdate_80244019 Error: 

Press Windows Key + R, type services.msc and then press Enter.
Locate Background Intelligent Transfer Service and check the Status.
If the Status is Stopped, right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Services, and then click Start in the menu.
Locate Windows Update and check the Status.
If the Status is Stopped, right-click Windows Update, and then click Start in the menu.
Close Services.

3. Turn Data Execution Protection On :

Follow the steps to turn on Data Execution Protection:
1. Right Click on My Computer and select Properties.
2. Click on the Advanced system settings and then click on Advanced tab.
3. Click on Settings under Performance.
4. Click on Data Execution Prevention.
5. Click on Turn on DEP for Essential Windows Programs and Services only.
6. Click on Apply. Click on OK twice.
7. Restart computer and check.

4. Clear DNS Cache:

1. Press Windows+ R key or Select Run from Start Menu
2. Type Cmd and Press Enter
3. Type  ipconfig /flushdns and Press Enter
4. Type ipconfig /registerdns Press Enter
5. Exit
