Type Cross Text Symbol with Keyboard or Copy Paste it

You can not find many special characters on the keyboard, as well as the cross-mark †. However, you can use it with a keyboard shortcut we show you how this works exactly.

Enter cross text symbol with the keyboard:

The input of the sign † is possible on keyboards only with number pad:
Hold down the [Alt] key. You can find it on the left of the space bar.
Now press on the numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard in sequence the numbers 0, 1, 3, 4. while pressing the Alt key.
Note that the numeric keypad is enabled. You can do this by pressing the [Num] on the numeric keypad.



Cross text symbol copy and paste: 

If you do not have a numeric keypad on your keyboard, you can copy the symbol from elsewhere.
The fastest way is to copy here: †
Alternatively, you can use the Character Map. Enter the Start menu or on the home page of Windows 8  and open the "Character Map" application.
See the character table all possible special characters. Select the cross (see picture) and click "Copy."
Now you can insert the symbol at the desired location.
