What Is The Jigsaw Virus?

 Jigsaw is a so-called ransomware that encrypts various files such as pictures and videos on your computer and it releases only after the payment of a ransom.
Unlike similar malware to Jigsaw but behaves particularly nasty: If you do not pay it will delete files hourly from your hard drive. After 72 hours, the virus even destroy all encrypted files permanently.
The infected PC you should shut down under any circumstances, because when you restart, Jigsaw would immediately delete 1000 files.



How to Remove Jigsaw Virus?

Those responsible behind Jigsaw have the virus programmed to display message box that can be neither closed nor minimized. However, it can be reduced, so you have room for the further steps:
Press the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del] and select Task Manager.
Switch to the tab "Details". There you find the two processes "firefox.exe" and "drpbx.exe" and end it.
Open the Explorer folder on your Windows user profile and navigate to the folder / AppData / Local / Drpbx /. Delete the file therein "drpbx.exe" and the directory itself.
In the same way you do with the file "firefox.exe", the folder / AppData / Roaming / Frfx / located. It is not about the famous web browser, the virus uses the name merely as camouflage.

Once you have the two files removed, Jigsaw is rendered harmless and cannot delete any more files. You can use Jigsaw decrypter for decryption of encrypted files.
